This project introduces how the Tulou, an enclosed traditional Chinese residential architecture, reflects the connections and disconnections between people, groups, and architecture and society through their internal structures, history, residents’ way of life, and existing crises of being abandoned.
I designed this project as a delivery box influenced by my experience of lack of communication during the pandemic. By sending out this Tulou kit I hope to foster connection among people as well as promote vernacular architecture and culture.
